EMLF 2019 Workshops

In addition to the annual Holley Rubinsky Memorial Blue Pencil Sessions for aspiring writers, EMLF is thrilled to offer two new workshops as part of our 2019 Festival:

Lyric-Crafting with Stephen Fearing

Photo by Jen Squires.Internationally recognized songwriter and performer Stephen Fearing will lead a two-day workshop (6 hours total instruction time) for songwriters focused on refining your lyric-writing skills. Through one-on-one coaching and a master class you will have the opportunity to expand your language, make well-considered choices, and find your own lyrical voice. Write for the Screen with Ian Weir SOLD OUT

Ian WeirJoin award winning author and screenwriter Ian Weir for a two-day workshop on the craft of writing for the screen. Focussed on protagonist development and narrative structure, you’ll watch and discuss examples of exemplary film and tv scenes and fine-tune your own scripts with Ian and the rest of the class.
