After Apocalypse: A Zine Workshop on Emergence
The End Times are over, and you survived in Nelson’s Bunker. The doors are about to open, and you are invited to enter a new world. Who are you now? What will you find? What kind of community emerges from the Bunker? What do you leave behind, and what do you carry forward?

About the Event
The End Times are over, and you survived in Nelson’s Bunker. The doors are about to open, and you are invited to enter a new world. Who are you now? What will you find? What kind of community emerges from the Bunker? What do you leave behind, and what do you carry forward?
This workshop invites you to imagine these questions through writing and art. Working together in the Bunker, using a guided writing session, collage and drawing materials (provided onsite), we will make a Zine (a small homemade magazine) that speaks to our imagined emergence from dark times. Copies of our Zine will be circulated after our session.
Join Renée Harper, Selkirk College creative writing instructor, artist, and experienced zine facilitator, for this immersive workshop in Nelson’s own Bunker.
This event, that will close out Elephant Mountain Lit Fest 2023, is presented in partnership with Nelson Museum, Archives, and Gallery, free of charge.
