Once again we’ve doubled the opportunities for aspiring writers to receive professional critiques through the
Holley Rubinsky Memorial Blue Pencil Sessions with either Shaena Lambert or Rayya Liebich.
Cost for critique and one-on-one consultation is $75 (value: priceless)

2022 is the seventh year of the Blue Pencil Sessions, named for writer, teacher, and mentor Holley Rubinsky.
Past writers offering one-on-one critiques have been Caroline Adderson, Fred Stenson, Susan Musgrave, Marilyn Bowering, and Jenna Butler, as well as Nelson’s Verna Relkoff and Anne DeGrace. Writers submit writing two weeks in advance (word limits apply) and receive a written critique plus a one-on-one consultation.

EMLF brings writers to area classrooms each year. In past years Marty Chan, Lee Edward Fodi, and Caroline Adderson
have all inspired the next generation of writers. Teachers who wish to be a part of this program can email us.
